Is Kioki free?
You can try everything free for 7 days. After that, Kioki is $49.99 per year with every feature included.
Which languages can I learn?
Kioki has decks for English speakers learning Spanish, Korean, French, Japanese, German, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, Vietnamese, and Italian, plus decks for Spanish and Korean speakers learning English.
Do I have to make my own cards?
No. Kioki has hundreds of pre-made decks of real phrases and vocabulary with native audio. You can also generate a deck with AI from a photo, a PDF, or a topic, or import decks you already have.
Does it work on the web?
Yes. Sign in at study.kioki.app to create and study decks in your browser. Your progress syncs with the iOS app at no extra charge.
Decks & studying
Can I import my existing flashcards?
Yes. Kioki imports CSV files, Anki decks (APKG), and plain text. Nothing you've built gets left behind.
How does spaced repetition work?
Kioki schedules each review for the moment before you'd forget: cards you know move further out, cards you miss come back sooner. Read the full guide: What Is Spaced Repetition, and Why Does It Work?
Can I study offline?
Yes, in the iOS app. Your decks are stored on your device, so you can study without a connection; progress syncs when you're back online.
What is Listen mode?
Listen mode plays your decks like a podcast, right from the lock screen. It's built for the commute, the gym, or a walk.
Account & billing
How do I cancel my subscription?
Kioki subscriptions are billed through Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Kioki, and tap Cancel Subscription. You keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and request a refund for your Kioki purchase.
How do I restore my subscription on a new device?
Install Kioki and sign in with the same account you used before. Your subscription and decks come with it. If something doesn't look right, email us and we'll sort it out.
